Our Robusta coffee comes from the Mpigi region in Uganda, where it is grown on fertile soil at altitudes of 1,100 to 1,300 meters. It is sourced from small farmers and cooperatives who do not use chemical fertilizers or pesticides. It is processed "naturally"; that is: the fresh coffee cherries are washed and sorted, including the pulp, and then carefully dried in the sun for 2-3 weeks. By turning the coffee cherries several times a day on drying beds, a more even drying is achieved, which is reflected in the high quality.
